  • Claremont remains one of the most competitive and successful clubs in the Western Cape.

    While Claremont Cricket Club were joint winners in the 1920/21 season, our first Western Province premier league outright win came in 1924/25 and then again in 1927/28. During periods in the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1990’s the Club dominated local cricket. With a highlight being the National Club Championship in 1997. More recently in 2022/2023 seasons the Claremont Cricket Club won the WPCA Premier League and WPCA Premier Ama T20.

    Over the years, the Club has supplied in excess of 50 players who have represented Western Province, other provinces and the Cobras franchise, at first-class level.

    • 1st XI – Premier League
    • 2nd XI – Reserve A
    • 3rd XI – Reserve B
    • 4th XI – Third Division C
    • Veterans – Over 40s T20 (VCASA)
    • Gents – Sunday 35 Over (Friendly Cricketers Association)

    The Claremont Cricket Club is coached by Eugene Moleon

    Among his accreditations  are :

    • IOHA Coach ( Olympic Handball)
    • UKA Coach (Athletics)
    • ECB level 3
    • ECB/ICC
    • CSA Coach Developer

    In addition , Eugene played First Class provincial cricket for 11 years.
